We accept numerous payment options regardless of your location and the currency you wish to use. Please note that some payment methods do inccur additional charges with details below.
Cash - pop in to the shop and pay then ride your new bike away
Bank transfer - GBP only (but fine from any country)
Credit cards - most cards accepted from around the world
PayPal - additional charges apply (2-5% depending on currency)
Cheques - UK banks, international banks with additional fee
A detailed explanation regarding each of the above is show below. Please review this information to assist you with deciding the best method of payment. In our view the methods are listed in preferential order for both the customer and ourselves. As you go down the list you will find costs may be inccured or delays in getting your bike (or probably both). If you do have any questions then please get in touch.
Cash – more than happy to accept this if you come to the shop to view/collect your bike.
Bank transfer – we can supply you with our bank details and you can make a payment direct to our business bank account. As soon as the funds are cleared in our account you can collect or we will ship your bike to you. For most of Europe the payment should arrive within 48 hours (often faster). For non-UK based account holders, you must ensure that your payment includes any transfer/international transaction fees and that your payment is made in sterling otherwise it will not reach our account (you may require our SWIFT or IBAN number for this).
Credit Cards – we accept all major credit cards and can process payments from most international countries including USA, Europe, Asia etc. Your transaction will appear on your statement automatically converted to your statement currency. This is by far the quickest and most secure method of payment.
PayPal – if you have a PayPal account then we are happy to accept that too, however, due to the high charges levied by PayPal for transactions (and the fact that we have numerous other more cost effective payment methods) we have to pass some of this on to our customers. For this reason an additional 2% is charged for PayPal payments made in Sterling and 5% for all other currencies (to cover the PayPal currency conversion fee). The benefit to the customer is that PayPal do offer some buyer protection (as do regular credit cards) should you find any problem with your order (which you will not and if you do we will happily work with you to rectify the matter).
UK Cheque – if you have a UK bank this is fine however, it can be a bit slow as funds will probably not clear in the account for about 4 working days.
International Cheque – this is a bit more complex (and not recommended as it is slow and expensive) as you will have to ensure that your payment includes enough to cover any bank charges (for accepting non GBP currency cheques) and also to cover any exchange rate fluctuations. For this reason you should add £10 plus 3% to cover currency conversion for non-sterling cheque payments. This is also a slow payment method as you have to send the cheque to us and we then have to send that to our bank.
